Cheers to 2016!

Whew! We are on page 365 of 365, finally! I must say 2015 was definitely a year to remember for many reasons. As I stated in my post #2015TaughtMe, I've learned so much in one year. Through it all, I have experienced constant growth and I am so excited to grow even more in 2016!

In January 2016, my baby will turn one years old (my blog that is, haha)! I created A Dash Of Michaela at the top of 2015 after a "trail and error" period that I faced with two other blogs that I created in 2014. I wanted a place where I could go to express myself and inspire others while doing so. I found that place in ADOM. This blog alone has helped to grow spiritually by allowing God to speak through my writing. Now, starting this blog was scary. For one, I thought people would be tired of me switching gears with my blog. I went from Label it Positive to TheBlogue and neither worked for me. Secondly, I did not think I would get a great response. I know our generation isn't really into reading anymore, so I questioned if readers would even be interested in what I had to say. I also questioned if the physical appearance of the site would appeal to audiences. In other words, I doubted myself.

I am happy to say that despite all of my fears, I launched the blog anyway. I got a better response than I could have ever imagined I would! Thank you to everyone who has read my posts, commented, given me feedback, and simply retweeted my "new blog post" tweets. My blog has blossomed because of you all which has given me a new-found confidence for 2016!

Let's take a look back at 5 of my most read blog posts from 2015! :)

  1. Why Ayesha Curry Matters
  2. #2015TaughtMe
  3. Eat the Cake!
  4. The Struggles of Being Young & God-fearing
  5. New Year, BETTER Me!

As you can see on the site, I plan to do a relaunch in 2016 (February to be exact), so be on the lookout for that! My blog goals for the new year are to grow my blog (the overall brand of ADOM, actually),  start vlogging (which I am so excited about), increase my readership, monetize my blog, connect with more fellow bloggers, and so much more!

This is the last post of 2015, so I wish you all a Happy New Year and don't forget "in whatever you do, just add a dash of YOU!"
